The kit as a whole is really a good deal , I did upgrade to the long tube intakes . Some of the welds are a little rough ( flanges on the long tube intakes) but hey it is an ugly drum smoker . I have used it only twice and will be taking it with us to a KCBS cook this weekend , This kit will give you the ability to do everything that drum smokers that run in the $800 plus range will do , it works great ! . now my only reason for 4 stars is that the thermometer failed after the first cook , not really the fault of the cooker kit . I just stuck one from an old smoker in and back in business.
